Double Dragon Gaiden is a beat-em-up with roguelite elements which originally released in 2023. It features local & online co-op and has an interesting tag-team gameplay with over a dozen characters to choose from, which all have different playstyles.
Beyond a short and enjoyable story campaign, the game also features a Survival mode which allows you to select a couple different characters and try to survive short, increasingly difficult waves of enemies while getting upgrades between waves.
The game is highly polished and one of the most fantastic beat-em-ups out there in the modern era. If you’re a fan of the franchise, or just looking for a few hours of beat ’em up fun with a friend, Double Dragon Gaiden is easily worth your time.
